30-Day Return Window
We offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days for a full refund, provided the items meet our return conditions outlined below.
Return Conditions
- Items must be unused and in original packaging
- All components of the kit must be included (frame pieces, mesh, spline, tools, connectors)
- Items must not show signs of installation, cutting, or modification
- You must include your order number with the return
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- DIY kits with cut or modified components — once frame pieces or mesh have been cut to size, they cannot be returned
- Custom-built screens that have been assembled
- Items returned after the 30-day window
Return Shipping
Standard returns: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked shipping service as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.
Defective items or our error: We will cover return shipping costs if the item is defective or if we made an error with your order (wrong product, wrong size, missing components).
Refund Process
- Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days of receiving your return
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been processed
- Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 3–5 business days for the refund to appear on your statement
Defective Items & Warranty Claims
All our products come with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. If you receive a defective item:
- We cover the cost of return shipping
- You may choose a full replacement or a full refund
- We may ask for photos of the defect to expedite the process
- Replacements are shipped at no additional cost
How to Initiate a Return
To start a return, email us at returns@canadianscreendepot.ca with:
- Your order number
- The item(s) you wish to return
- The reason for the return
- Photos if the item is defective
We will respond within 1–2 business days with return instructions and a return authorization number.
Damaged in Transit
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and packaging. We will arrange a replacement shipment at no cost to you. Do not discard the damaged packaging, as the shipping carrier may require it for a claim.
